Monteagudo

Well-written study of Bernardo Monteagudo (1789-1824), the Tucumano revolutionary and friend of San Martín and Bolívar. Alternately described as a genius and an opportunist, Monteagudo was one of the most controversial figures of the early independence period (and the various opinions of him are well reflected in the more than 100 p. of documents included herein).
