Nation In Images: Jose Lezama Lima S Art Critiques

I situate these neglected writings in the context of Lezamas definition of poetry, where the notion of the image is crucial. First, I analyze these texts in the frame of Lezama Limas theories on poetics. Then, I establish a counterpoint between the idea of the poetic as related to the poem (or the poetic image), and the idea of the poetic as related to the pictorial image.
