This distinctive reader highlights significant historical figures and events from pre-Columbian times to the present, supplemented with a view of contemporary Chicano life in the U.S. Southwest. Anecdotal and artistic presentations have been extracted from the works of well-known authors and arranged in chronological order. Each of the books eleven sections is preceded by a short historical introduction and includes comprehension and vocabulary exercises. Text in Spanish, section introductions in English.
