Monograph on recent investigations of an 80 square km area of the Río Mezcala Basin surrounding Xochipala describes the results of stratigraphic test excavations of sites found through informants and road and trail surveys. Primary objective was to better understand the cultural history of prehispanic occupations in this poorly known region –Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 57.
